There are so many beautiful towns, villages & harbours to visit during your holiday in Aberporth, West Wales.
From all of these towns in Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire you can also explore the Wales Coast Path.

Cardigan / Aberteifi
Cardigan is just a 10 minute drive away from our Aberporth holiday cottage & apartment. It's the nearest town to Aberporth and is called Aberteifi in Welsh (mouth of the river Teifi)
In Cardigan you’ll find supermarkets and a high street full of independent shops, cafes & places to eat.
The recently renovated Cardigan Castle is well worth a visit, or maybe a boat trip along the River Teifi from the Quayside (seasonal).
Finish your day with a fresh wood-fired pizza at the Pizza Tipi on Cardigan’s Quayside & a pint of their own brew beer or locally distilled gin (seasonal opening)
There’s also a cinema at the Theatre Mwldan to catch the latest film.

New Quay / Cei Newydd
New Quay is a favourite of ours to visit and is very similar to a Cornish village with its harbour & fishing boats.
It has two sandy beaches, gift shops, pubs & plenty of places to eat. It’s also one of the best places to do a dolphin spotting boat trip with Sea Mor.
We enjoy sitting on the harbour wall with some chips from the Lime Crab & an ice cream watching the world go by.

Aberaeron
Aberaeron is a small harbour town famous for it’s colourful Georgian houses.
It has plenty of independent shops, cafes & places to eat.
Grab yourself a bucket & line and go crabbing off the harbour wall, or treat yourself to lunch at the Harbourmaster.
We often combine a spin to Aberaeron with a visit to the National Trust estate of Llanerchaeron.

Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth is Ceredigion’s largest town and is a lovely place to stroll along the prom & pier.
For fanatstic views across Cardigan Bay take the Aberystwyth cliff railway up Constitution Hill.
From Aberystwyth you can ride the Vale of Rheidol steam train to Devil’s Bridge and take in the beautiful scenery of the ancient valleys, woodlands & waterfalls.

Tenby
Tenby is a seaside resort in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
It has sandy beaches, shops, places to eat and plenty of places to buy buckets & spades!
From here you can wander along the harbour and maybe catch a boat trip across to Caldey Island

Saundersfoot
Saundersfoot is also a harbour town in Pembrokeshire and isn’t too far from Tenby.
It’s a traditional seaside town with a harbour, tourist shops and a big sandy beach.
Also worth a visit whilst you’re in the area is the National Trust Colby Woodland Gardens.
